The Connecticut Fusion of United Women’s Soccer have announced the signing of 3 more players to their roster. The team signed defender Anna Cronin, midfielder Molly Socha and midfielder Rachel Morrier. Cronin and Socha are currently attending the University of Hartford, playing under Head Coach John Natale. Morrier is a redshirt junior at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Cronin, a native of Glastonbury, transferred to the University of Hartford from Uconn after a redshirt season. With the Hawks, Cronin started in all 19 games in the 2017 season.

Her Hawks teammate, Molly Socha, played in 19 games this past season, starting in 18. She was named the team’s Most Valuable Player in 2017.

Morrier started in all 16 games in her 2017 season, leading her team with 11 goals and 24 points on the season as the team’s co-captain.

Along with previously announced signings of Sierra Stone and Haley Nolan, this brings a total of 4 current University of Hartford players to the Fusion roster, along with Johnson and Santos who also previously played for the Hawks.

A statement from Fusion Head Coach Tom D’Agostino, “I’m excited about the level of talent we have right in our backyard and it’s always beneficial to have a group of players who have played together joining our roster.”

The Connecticut Fusion roster now stands at 9 players with more signings to be announced over the next several days. The team begins its first year in UWS (United Women’s Soccer) with the home opener set for Friday, May 11th at 7pm vs. the New England Mutiny at FSA (Farmington Sports Arena).
